Our Apparatus
A fire apparatus, commonly referred to as a fire engine or fire truck, is a specialized vehicle designed to support firefighting operations. These vehicles transport firefighters to emergency scenes and provide the tools needed to access fires, deliver water, and carry essential equipment.
While the terms “fire engine” and “fire truck” are often used interchangeably, they typically refer to different types of apparatus. At the Town of Mamaroneck Fire Department, our fire engines are equipped with a pump, hose, and a water supply. In contrast, a truck is designed primarily for aerial access and does not carry water like an engine.
TMFD operates three fire engines, on truck, one rescure and a boat to serve our community.
Engine 36
Engine 36 (E-36) is second due in our district and the primary responder to I-95 incindents. It's a 2007 KME Predator 1500gpm pumper and 750-gallon water tank.
Engine 37
Engine 37 (E-37) Primarly handles car fires, carbon monoxide calls. It's a 2025 Seagreave 1500gpm pumper with 750-gallon water tank.
Engine 51
Engine 51 (E-51) is the busiest unit. E-51 responds to most residental and business calls It is currently assigned a 2025 Seagrave 1500gpm pumper with 750-galllon wate tank.
Ladder 19
Ladder 19 (L-19) responds to all residental and commercial calls with Engine 51. It's a 2019 Seagrave with 100ft rear mount ariel ladder.
Rescue 6
Rescue 6 (R-6) responds to vehicle and I-95 incidents, water rescue calls. Also used by our FAST to support neighboring departments working fires.. It's a 2011 Spartan.
Marine 36
Marine 36 is an inflatable rescue boat that can be used on inland bodies of water in the district and during storm related floding events.
